Late last week, Elliot S. of Racodac invited me to join his exclusive film club. I'm blogging from Racodac on this occasion, as
The Day After Tomorrow is due to start in a couple of hours as
The Academic Film Society's first screening. And I have nothing to do but blog & email while I'm waiting.
This morning started horribly; I awoke with a very bad stomach ache so left five minutes later than I'd planned. This meant I missed the 'first' bus, which I wasn't bothered about, as I've been arriving early anyway. But the next bus that came along didn't stop despite my girlie signalling.
However, shortly after walking to the next bus stop, a young lady called Julia ¿ joined me in waiting for the same bus. Together we cursed public transport for the TWENTY-THREE minutes that we were standing waiting for the next bus, which fortunately did stop.
I've only mentioned this as it was quite nice meeting someone so pleasant whilst waiting for a bus, then sharing a seat & conversing with them during the journey too. True, I have 'bumped into' some of the RWS lot on the bus in recent times, but quite frankly, most of the strangerers have been dregs.
The bus arrived at my stop at 9:55 AM, which is not good considering I was supposed to be in by 10:00 AM and the walk has taken fifteen minutes every time so far. I managed to RUN the full distance and arrive in the Graphics Studio at 10:01 AM. But not only was I not impressed in having to run, I most certainly wasn't impressed that Jeff W. (the lecturer) still hadn't turned up by 10:30 AM. What's more, he didn't come in all day :-@
Making the most of our time, my
map group gathered to discuss our progress. I'm sure that we all decided on
Friday to do some rough sketches over the weekend of exactly how we wanted to present the map. Yet I was the only one who actually bothered - and even then it was more than a sketch. Hmmm. Anyhow, the rest of the group was dead chuffed with my efforts and during the course of the day we managed to bop out the bulk of the map.
At one point I went for a wander with Jason D. and bumped into Jon P. of the RWS days. We didn't say much to each other, but I haven't seen him for over a year, so it was splendid all the same.
And at present, I'm using the computers that aren't meant to be used for general Internet browsing to generally browse the Internet. I'll be getting a tattoo next.
