The Bill - live

Fooking brilliant for something live. So much in it: car crash, explosions, gunshots etc. Really good. I’d love to work on something like that. Was really looking forward to it - was really geared up, literally sitting on edge of my seat – to be that bit nearer to television looking for boom mics, crew members and the likes.

A fantastic effort for a live episode. Yes, there were a couple of fluffs, but they were all unavoidable. I was going nuts during the advert break when the signal broke at ITV’s end. ‘twas so glad when it sorted itself out in time for final five mins.

And I couldn’t help but laugh at the liveness of it all - delayed delivery of lines, squibs going off a second later than they should've done, the car not toppling over and the stuntmen laughing because of this. But oh, it was excellent.

I'm really on a high after that. I'm going to watch it again. Now.
